A Service Dog for Danie hope for indepence A Service Dog for Danie Danie is an 18-year-old recent high school graduate with severe anxiety, depression and crippling panic attacks that are prohibiting her from progressing to independence as a young adult. Going to school, driving, shopping, being in large groups or anywhere there's a lot of people (or even the fear of these things) can trigger debilitating attacks. The combination of having anxiety and living in fear of having a panic attack often prevents Danie from going out or being with other people, which further deepens Danie's depression and heightens her anxiety. It is a vicious cycle that affects her physical and mental health, causing her to have severe symptoms, such as chronic indigestion, labored breathing, and troubled sleep. A service dog would help to mitigate Danie’s symptoms which will enable her to socialize independently, give her the confidence to go to college, secure successful employment and to truly become an active member of society. Seeking a service dog and publicly asking for support is difficult for Danie, but she knows a service dog is critical for her future success and well-being. Please donate today and support Danie in her quest for health and independence.
